OUR STORY
Founded in 2022 by Matthew Twitchell as a veteran-owned business, MTa began with an initial staff of two highly experienced design professionals—Angela Russ and Newell Wright. In the last few years, we have grown, but we still continue to feel called to our profession and embrace the unique challenges every project brings.
Whenever possible, we love working as part of a collaborative project team. Cultivating strong relationships with owners, engineers, and contractors allows us to deliver projects as scheduled, ensure superior construction quality, and maintain professional project management.

THE TEAM
Matthew Twitchell
AIA, LEED AP, NCARB
A graduate of UT School of Architecture in 1994, Matthew is NCARB Certified, currently holding licenses in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama South Carolina and Wisconsin. He has experience working in offices of both Architectural firms and for General Contractor's which gives him a better perspective of issues surrounding both.
Angela Russ
ASSOCIATE AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Angela's career spans 29 years. Her education began in Architecture, and eventually changed to Construction Management. Her organizational skills and computer skills suit her well in her role as an Architectural Project Manager.
Newell Wright
Senior Draftsman
Newell has been a draftsman for over 4 decades. In his career he has drawn over 300 PEMB, and countless other facilities. Other talents include - story telling and...upon request, the joke of the day.
John Valentine
Registered Architect
The newest member of our team, John is a registered Architect. He brings valuable experience from a variety of projects, including complex facilities and collaborations with large design teams. John thrives on tackling challenging projects, making him a fantastic addition to our firm
Samantha Twitchell
Bookkeeper & Office Administrator
Sam is the company bookkeeper. She works to generate AIA contracts, format specifications, and generally does everything necessary to keep the office in order.
